Feel you made a mistake? Turn back time?
Daily Bread - 3 April...
I read this in the daily bread a few months back and i dog ear it...
I was really touch by it... indeed, we all have different lives and we do things all very differently, and many times, we may feel that we have made a mistake in our lives, and wish that we could turn back time. But with God, there are no mistakes... only lessons to learn...
I learn this lesson a very hard way when i was in Philippines... cause we had all the prog plan... and i really wanted everything to flow as plan. I'm not flexible and felt everything must go by (in a way) my way. Boy was i slapped in the face by God hard and it was really a lesson learn... Only God can say where, when and what... We're his servants, his disciples, and most of all, his children. He only has the best for us and sometimes, when things don't go the way we plan it to, it's not that it's a bad plan or that it was horrible, it's just that maybe God has a better way of doing things. And i really learn that sometimes, when i learn to shut up, and just listen and watch God work, how surprised i am, by the things God can do. I've seen my brothers step up and take steps to lead, i've seen my friends grown more and miracles happen... Praise and Thank God for them... :)
But don't just listen to me brag about it, read this article for yourself... :)
Qte:
A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. —Proverbs 16:9
They were in the right place, on the wrong day. Or so it would seem.
The Dayspring Chorale, a traveling high school singing group, arrived at a nursing home for a Thursday concert. However, the folks at the home were expecting them on Friday. But they said if the group could get set up fast, they could sing for 20 minutes. Then they'd have to stop for a memorial service for one of the residents.
The chorale hurriedly got ready and sang, and as they did, the son of the man who had died heard them. When they were done, he asked if they could sing at his dad's service. They gladly agreed and ministered hope and truth to all who attended. God used these young people in a special way—all because of a secretarial error. But was it a mistake?
We carefully make schedules so we can be where we think we should be. But we always need to keep in mind the words of Solomon, "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps" (Prov. 16:9).
Do we seek ministry in life's unplanned schedule changes? Do we turn detours into guided tours of what He wants to do through us? If we're doing God's will, we'll be in the right place. Then, wherever we are, we can point people to Him. — Dave Branon
Sometimes our plan does not unfold
The way we thought it would;
But God is always in control
To use it for our good. —Sper
Unexpected changes are opportunities in disguise.

Continue to live life with great expectation of What God can do in them. When you let go, that's when he chooses to lead you... :)

Bernard's cold joke...
on a softer note, Bernard told me a joke yesterday, which i thought was quite funny, so i'll share it with you...
Bernard: Next year, there will be alot of babies born in March...
JL: (Thought for a while) Why?
Bernard:
Cause Pastor said during church camp to come expecting....
Funny.... hahahahahahahahahaha.... keke... i thought it was quite funny la... okie... cold now... :)

There is just something about this song, something about it, that touches my heart and draws me out...
Coldplay - Fix You lyrics
When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home,
And ignite your bones,
And I will try to fix you,
High up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down on your face
And I
Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down on your face
And I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Gala Night - 12 June 2008
We had our very first like D & D for church camp last dinner... the theme was "Retro Gala night"... We played games, ate dinner, dance... we had lots of fun... :)
have a look at the pictures... Thank God for the great night... think we all had great fun that night... hope to do it again... :)
I had to help the youth to get alot of stuff... it was a trolley full of stuff...
It was really really heavy and 2 girls, tough for us to carry it all back... so guess what... we took a risk... we rolled the trolley all the way back to our hotel room... haha... it was so funny... we were scare, yet felt it was so hilarous at the same time... some pics of the trolley in our room... keke... :)
We later rolled the trolley back and had dinner, we ate at Uncle John Kopitiam... really not bad oh... I had curry Chicken Rice and Aunt Nancy had Nasi Lemak. We shared Fried Wantan. The curry wasn't too hot, delicious. The rice was nasi lemak rice... so it was taste and good... Aunt nancy used to sell Nasi Lemak and if she say her's is nice, i guess it must really taste great... :)
The next day we had alot of work to do... we got the room list at 10 plus... When i looked at it, i realised it was an old list sent a few weeks back. Oh no... we were short of 2 rooms... the rooms were all in a mess, the rooms that should be next to each other were not, i had no idea shich rooms were near the lift, which were not, which had a good view, which didn't... And that wasn't the worse... the worse is that we had 29 chalet rooms... oh no oh no... we had specifically ask for main building rooms... huh... I looked at the list for like 30 minutes... and had no idea what to do... huh... in the end, i had to make a decision and put the youths in most of the chalet rooms... making sure that i try not to mix the boys and girls in the same chalet as much as i could... i really did i best... and i really hope everyone liked there rooms and enjoyed their stay there... Apologize to Uncle Sigmund thou... couldn't get u the room u wanted... promise to make it up to you next year... :)
There were quite a bit of mess this year especially with the long trip up, but i do really hope that everyone has enjoyed themselves... :) The youth games turn out quite well... seeing everyone enjoying themselves, i was glad... really happy... felt all the effort has paid off... :) i saw how the girls bonded, and how the guys were getting to know each other. I was glad... just wish i had more time with them too... to bond too... :)
But i do wanna apologise to one person... Bernard... keke... i won't do it to your face... cause i want face... so i write here... i know u will see it... i'm sorry that i underminded your decision at times... but u know me la... i'm like that, but after awhile, i will just follow and smile... :) but i won't tell it to you to your face... :p sorry ah... u don't angry... i promise to control myself more next time k? :)
Church camp 2008 - Mines Resort...
This year, i was part of the advance team. Boy, did i have a list of stuff to do.
Thank goodness or Thank God, i had Aunt Nancy to help me with the stuff. But before we started with anything, we had a smooth nice ride up to KL on Konsortium. Comfortable seats... $40 each...

When we arrive, we went to eat Subway. This is my very first time eating subway. not bad not bad indeed. i actually really enjoyed it. i had meatball Marinara... yummy and Aunt Nancy had Tuna...I was actually a bit scare to travel up with Aunt Nancy, not that she is not nice or anything. i was just scare that we will run out of topics to talk about and it would be awkward. But what a waste of time on worrying. There was nothing to worry about. We had a great time talking and we never ran out of topics. We even went shoppin together... haha... oh... i bought 2 pairs of shoes... haha... I hope she enjoyed my company as much as i enjoyed hers... :)
